This unit in an area of 500 square meters and with more than 20 instruments are capable of manufacturing all ceramic, clay, alumina, silicone, carbides etc bodies by slush molding, ICP press, extrusion and baking at 1700 °C with controlled thermal and atmospheric curves.

A multi-purpose pilot plant is established in MERC to investigate the feasibility of the successful laboratory projects for full scale industrial production. The unit also aims to produce know-how industrial knowledge to present to the industry. It also plays role of intermediate stage between research and full industrial production. The unit provides technical assistance to spare part industry and establishment of semi-industrial production firms. This unit was established in 2001and has been equipped with many industrial appliances.

The library was first established when MERC moved to its new location in Karaj Meshkin-Dasht. It has the important task of providing scientific source material for researchers in line with the center’s research objectives.
